PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM

Diploma in Hospitality Operations Management

Diploma in Hospitality Operations Management is a program dedicated only to UAE National students. The purpose of the program is to provide students with the needed knowledge, skills, and competencies in order to start a hospitality career. This program aims to help Emirati students to find excellent prospects in hospitality, tourism, and service industries and to contribute to the achievement of UAE’s vision of making these sectors amongst the most prosperous in the country.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES

After accomplishing the program the Emirati graduate will be able to:

  • Acquire hands-on experience in hospitality operations management.
  • Use necessary skills to solve multi-faceted situations using customer-centric approach.
  • Apply appropriate hospitality business tools in different business situations
  • Analyse business situations and assess their impact on hospitality operations.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills through proposing creative deliverables that speak to the heart and mind.

TEACHING & LEARNING STRATEGIES

This program will be delivered by highly qualified faculty members combining academic and international hospitality experience relevant to the courses they are teaching. HTMi Dubai uses student-centred learning approach in order to engage students in their learning experience and to allow them to be active and participative during classes. For this purpose, we balance theoretical and practical contents through the usage of a wide range of methods and tools e.g. simulation games, field-trips, role-plays, video projections and discussions, lectures, brainstorming and group works, real-life case studies and situations, software usage, and hands-on activities.

  • Successfully passed High School Attested copy of high school certificate and transcript.
  • Fluent in English
  • UAE National ID
